About Steven John

With over 20 years of senior executive leadership in the Global Mobility industry, Steven John brings unparalleled expertise in domestic and international operations, North American Operations, client services, sales, strategy, and financial management. As the former President and CEO of HomeServices Relocation for over a decade, Steven led transformative initiatives that drove innovation and transparency in mobility solutions.
Steven began his career as a CPA at Deloitte, where he built a strong foundation in accounting, finance, and budgeting. He later held executive management roles at several Fortune 500 companies, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, payroll, accounting operations, systems, budgeting and strategic planning. His initiation to the relocation industry came at Prudential Relocation, where he led the centralized client accounting function and North American operations before advancing to senior executive roles at other top-tier relocation companies. A thought leader in the mobility space, Steven has championed initiatives to create transparent pricing models and reduce overall mobility spend, fostering stronger partnerships between clients and providers.
His unique roots in finance and accounting give him exceptional skills in financial analysis, process management, supply chain efficiency, and cost optimization.
Steven is an active member of Worldwide ERC®, serving as past Chairman of the Certification Review Board and on the Foundation Board of Trustees. He holds the Senior Certified Relocation Professional (SCRP®) and Senior Global Mobility Specialist–Talent Management (SGMS-T) designations and is a recipient of WERC®’s Meritorious and Distinguished Service Awards. Additionally, he has contributed to the Relocation Directors Council Advisory Board.
Outside of work, Steven enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and pursuing his passion for sailing and flying sailplanes.
